Raheem and Nicole Morris 2025 Atlanta Heart Ball Co-Chairs

Atlanta Falcons head coach and community leader champions year-round campaign to improve health in Atlanta

ATLANTA, Dec. 11, 2024 — For more than a century, the American Heart Association has committed to advancing health and hope for everyone, everywhere. Through Heart of Atlanta's Heart Ball campaign, Raheem and Nicole Morris, Atlanta Falcons Head Coach and committed community leader, will spearhead efforts to ensure every individual in Atlanta has the opportunity for a full, healthy life. The Heart Ball celebrates the progress made through the dedication of those supporting the Association’s mission, including advancing scientific research, advocating for policy changes, promoting equitable health and empowering the community with education to take charge of their health.

“Both, Raheem and Nicole exemplify exceptional leadership and commitment to making a difference in our city,” says Carla Smith, senior vice president and executive director of the American Heart Association, Metro-Atlanta. “Their passion for the Association’s mission, deep understanding of community needs, and drive to create meaningful change makes them the ideal choice to co-chair this event. By leading our Heart of Atlanta initiative, they will help us make a real difference by improving health, tackling important challenges, and ensuring everyone has a fair chance at a healthier life.”

The Morrises’ are dedicated advocates for the community, working to promote education and awareness of heart health while supporting the American Heart Association's lifesaving mission. Their support stems from a deeply personal experience in which Raheem utilized CPR and an automated external defibrillator (AED) to help save a young life. This moment emphasized the critical importance of being prepared for cardiac emergencies. Together, the Morris family is committed to raising awareness about CPR training and the availability of AEDs, and aligning with the Association’s goal of empowering individuals to take action during life-threatening situations.

“We are truly honored to serve as the 2025 Atlanta Heart Ball Co-Chairs,” said the Morrises. “As a family, we’ve seen firsthand how heart health impacts lives and are deeply committed to making a difference in our community. We are eager to work with our outstanding team of volunteers and the American Heart Association to drive change by removing barriers to health, investing in groundbreaking research, delivering impactful health education and advocating for healthy policies. It takes a village to make a lasting impact, and we must do whatever it takes to create a better tomorrow for all people in Atlanta.”

The 2025 Atlanta Heart Ball is sponsored by Southern Company, DrgonCon, and Locumtenens.com and will be held on Saturday, February 22at the St. Regis Atlanta. The annual event is a night to celebrate the Association’s year-round efforts to break down barriers to health in Metro Atlanta. Throughout the evening, the American Heart Association, the world’s leading nonprofit organization focused on heart and brain health, will honor volunteers and patrons, feature stories of survivors, and entertain guests with dinner, dancing and an exciting auction.
